Cheap Auto Insurance for Young Drivers

To find the cheap auto insurance is the problem for young driver. Due to the lack of driving experience, insurance companies look at the inexperience as a higher risk; therefore, charging high premiums. Price breaks usually come within three years of driving experience since it establishes a complete driving history.
If a young driver reaches three years, they usually will qualify for a good driver discount if the do not have more than one or two violations or any at-fault accidents at all. If they do have accidents, and there weren’t at fault or there were no injuries, be sure to properly list the accident to avoid paying higher rates.
If a young driver has not accumulated three years of driving experience, there are a few ways of getting the cheapest possible rates. Taking advantage of discounts such as good student discounts (B or better grade point average) or low mileage discounts (if a driver does not commute much), can also help lower premiums.
If a young driver resides with his or her parents, it will usually be cheaper to include the youth into the parent’s auto insurance policy as an additional driver vs. having them open a policy independently; however, if that’s not an option, the best thing to do is to find a carrier that’s going to offer the youth the best rate possible.
