The Statue of Liberty

New York City U.S.A with “Liberty Enlightening the World,” The Statue of Liberty was a gift of the French government to the United States to honor the ideals of freedom and independence. This copper “Lady Liberty” holds a torch in her right hand and a tablet in her left, marked July 4, 1776, the adoption date of the Decralation of Independence. While one of her feet stands on chains, symbolizing acquired freedom, and seven spikes in her crown represent the seven seas and seven continents standing at 93 meters (305 ft) in total. It is an early gesture of generosity and a symbol for millions of US immigrants for new life of peace and prosperity.
